The capital, Tirana, is a bustling city known for its colorful buildings, lively streets, and historical landmarks.

Albania's history is a tapestry of influences from the Illyrians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Ottomans, and more, creating a diverse cultural heritage. The country is dotted with ancient ruins, medieval castles, and UNESCO World Heritage sites like the ancient city of Butrint and the Ottoman-era town of Gjirokastër. The Albanian Riviera, with its pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters, is a paradise for sun-seekers and adventurers alike.

The Albanian people are known for their hospitality, with a tradition of welcoming guests with warmth and generosity. The cuisine reflects a blend of Mediterranean and Balkan flavors, with dishes like byrek, tavë kosi, and fresh seafood.

Since the fall of communism in the early 1990s, Albania has undergone significant transformations, embracing democracy and market economy reforms. It is now a candidate for European Union membership, striving for economic development and modernization. Despite its rapid changes, Albania retains its unique character and charm, offering a blend of ancient traditions and contemporary life.
