I was at the Pentax gallery here in Tokyo last night and got to play with the new, as yet unreleased Pentax 645D camera. Very cool. Light, made of magnesium, 40 megapixels, and you can use all older 645 lenses with it. What is very sharp is that they have adopted the Adobe dng RAW format so no waiting around for Camera RAW plugins (at last someone has seen the light).

The coolest thing of all is that does in-camera HDR images of up to 6 frames. Processing time for 3 frame hdrs is approximately 30 sec.

Expected to sell in the USA, when it gets there, for around $8,000
