Recently I was in Atlanta and I met up with my brother-in-law during a shoot. I casually commented to him that I wondered if the patterns in the Westin Hotel (the glass cylinder in the right third) windows were something cool like the architect’s dna signature. He promptly deflated that notion in telling me that during a hurricane in March 2008, many of the window panes had been blown out of the structure, and that they were unable to replace them as there is no one that will manufacture them. Kind of ages all of the other photos of Atlanta to “Before Hurricane”.

    It was actually a tornado that ripped through downtown and damaged some of the buildings in 2008.
